Getting your business or organization ready for a disaster or other emergency can be daunting. That’s why we’ve created the Red Cross Ready Rating™ Program. We’ve broken preparedness into five manageable and important steps. Together, these steps can greatly improve your business or organization’s readiness. And the Red Cross is here to support you every step of the way.
Getting Started
Getting started is as easy as 1, 2, 3 …
- Return the Membership Agreement to the American Red Cross. Make sure to include contact information for your Ready Rating Coordinator.
- Fill out the online profile and preparedness assessment.
- Once you’ve completed these two steps, you will be a Member and may display the Red Cross Ready Rating Seal in accordance with your Membership Agreement.
Membership Benefits
As a Member, we pledge our support and commitment to you. Membership benefits include:
Personalized Support
We take our commitment to you very seriously. We have a dedicated staff, so please feel free to contact us at anytime if you have questions. As a Member, you also have full access to Red Cross training programs to help you implement your emergency-preparedness plan.
Ready Rating Seal
Once you have completed your online assessment, you may display the Red Cross Ready Rating Seal in accordance with your Membership Agreement. We encourage you to display this Seal to help you communicate to the public your commitment to proactively prepare.
Members-Only Web Content
We have developed a range of offerings to support your Red Cross Ready Rating Program membership, including tools that are easily and conveniently accessible online. We’ve created a Members-Only portal that provides instant access to important information, guides, and templates.
To access this exclusive Member information, click here. Enter your username and password. Your user name and password was sent to you after the Membership Agreement was returned. If you have forgotten your password, call the Ready Rating Program Supervisor at 314-516-2800.
The Web site provides a variety of communications materials that you can share, print, and distribute as you see fit. These materials include template materials for communicating with your employees, clients, and members; materials to use with local media; idea sheets; and tips to completing the program criteria, and more.
Recognition
We will publish a list of all Ready Rating Members each year. This list will also be available on our Web site. Every fall we will also host an event to recognize our Members.
Membership Renewal
Ready Rating Membership is based on a calendar year and must be renewed each year. Approximately three months before the end of the year, you will receive your renewal packet. Renewal is easy — just return the Membership Agreement and complete the online assessment. As long as you have made progress and your score has increased, you will receive your new Seal shortly after the first of the year. Or if your business/organization has a score of 60, you are simply required to maintain that score.
